The Dallas Renegades take on the New York Guardians. And after the loss last week to the Houston Roughnecks, they look to get their first home win of the season.
First things first. The Renegades quarter back Landry Jones was injured in the fourth quarter against the Roughnecks. And after the MRI was taken on Monday they noticed that he re-aggravated his knee injury from training camp. He will be out for two weeks.
ROSTER UPDATE: The Renegades have re-activated QB Eric Dungey from the Reserve/Left Squad list, and Dallas has been granted a QB Roster Exemption for Brogan Roback. Dallas has also acquired CB D'Montre Wade. pic.twitter.com/Bu6TwX7VhB

And coach Stoops says that your starter for this weeks game is Philip Nelson. Who finished the game last week.

Keys to victory
Obviously the Renegades know that being down their leader Landry Jones isn’t ideal. But I think the Renegades have faith in Philip Nelson after he took command of the offense and led them down the field. The key is for him and the receivers to build a chemistry with each other. And his receivers need to create separation from the defensive backs.
Offensive line
Also, the offensive line needs to cover the A and B gaps.  And furthermore, keep Nelson upright and untouched. Being discipline is also critical for this offense. So keep the penalties down. Lastly, the big boys up front need to open up holes for their running backs to keep the chains moving.
What better way to build chemistry than feed the tight end Donald Parham.  He can help any QB move the chains. Being 6 foot 8 inches can really come in handy. If Nelson can get the ball up then Parham can go up and get the ball. This dude can also fly as well.
Other threats are the speedy Flynn Nagel, this receiver has lightning quick speed and is gone in second. He can really get the offense going with his speed.
Running Backs
The running back duo on this team is spectacular. Cameron Payne and Lance Dunbar really need to be fed the ball.  These two playmakers can really move the chains well.  These two running backs can also get the play-action pass going as well. Both of these factors help the offense flow and ideally to the win. Because the Guardians defense ranked 6th in the Xfl. And
Defense
The defense knows that it can better. They are always striving for perfection. And it’s critical that they do their job. First, they need to keep up the pressure on the quarterback.  This defense did a good job last week they need to keep up the momentum. And getting pressure causes turnovers mistakes by the offense. Stop the run is always something a defense strives for. Lastly, the defensive backs need to not allow the Guardians receivers space.
I think the Renegades will get their first home win. I think this offense good enough to cause problems for this New York team. And besides the Guardians are 0-2 on the road. This trend will continue. Give me the Renegades as the seven-point favorite 20-13.
Safety @D_SmithFS on what he expects from the Guardians' offense: "They're gonna line up and try to pound it. They've got a few good backs, so we're gonna have to gang tackle and stop the run."
