ST. LOUIS (Ambush Sports) — The wild popularity of the XFL‘s St. Louis BattleHawks has set league attendance records in the league’s relaunch so far in 2020, drawing a total crowd of 57,081 fans in both home games in Weeks 3 & 4. There has been speculation as to whether the team will open up seating in the upper deck inside The Dome at America’s Center.
The BattleHawks organization made official Wednesday that beginning in Week 7, when they host the Los Angeles Wildcats, seating will be available in the upper deck, according to a report from Stephan Rachuk from XFL Newsroom.
The popularity of the franchise born and bred in the Gateway City has grown since the franchise was first announced following the departure of the NFL Rams franchise from St. Louis in favor of the Los Angeles metropolitan area, where it was previously until 1994.
Tickets for upper deck seating will go on sale beginning Friday morning, as the BattleHawks lead the XFL East with a 3-1 record, proving themselves as a fan favorite and serious competitor in the XFL.
The BattleHawks will be on the road in Weeks 5 & 6 before returning home to host the Wildcats on Saturday, March 21, which is expected to have a packed house, making for the loudest game of the season.
