Ambush XFL Offensive And Defensive Players Of The Week: Week 4
We are four weeks into the XFL season; it has been a pretty entertaining season so far. A lot of players playing good football. Here are your offensive and defensive standouts for week four.
Offensive Player of the Week 4
Jordan Ta’amu | QB | St. Louis Battlehawks
Last week in a 23-16 victory Battlehawks quarterback Jordan Ta’amu did it all. Ta’amu passed for 264 yards on 20 of 27 passing, with one touchdowns pass. The Battlehawks quarterback passer rating was 116.9, which is an excellent passer rating. Also, Ta’amu had 63 yards rushing on the ground for St. Louis. He is proving to be a dual-threat quarterback that can win games with his arms and his legs.

Ta’amu has been getting better every week and leads the XFL in total yards gained with 1,062. Houston Roughnecks quarterback is the front runner for MVP, but Ta’amu is trying to close the gap a bit. The Battlehawks will go as far as Ta’amu will take them this season.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the Ambush Sports Player of the Week comes from the Houston Roughnecks, but it may surprise you that this week, it is represented by the defense. Edmond Robinson Jr. receives the award as Defensive Player of the Week bringing the total to four straight weeks with a Roughneck winning. Joining his teammates, P.J. Walker and Cam Phillips (x2), Robinson put on a grand performance for Houston, notching a stat in almost every defensive category. Our Defensive Player of the Week finished the game with 4 combined tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and to cap it off Robinson recovered his strip-sack and returned it for the dagger touchdown, giving the Roughnecks a 27-20 lead over in-state rival Renegades.
