After three months of negotiation, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former LSU linebacker Devin White to a four year deal with a fifth-year option if needed. Devin White was the 5th pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
With Devin’s signing, the Bucs have officially signed every rookie drafted this past offseason. To sign their rookies, the Bucs had to make cap room by releasing talented DT Gerald McCoy. Tampa also has released DT Mitch Unrein, Kwon Alexander, and Adam Humphries this offseason.
Devin will start opposite of Lavonte David at Middle Linebacker for his rookie season due to the Bucs new defensive coordinator Todd Bowles switching the Bucs defense to a Blitzing 3-4 scheme.
One thing is for sure with Devin Whites signing. A good portion of his signing bonus is going to be used on Daisy Mae and his other horses. Hopefully, he’s as fast as his horses on the field.
