Prospect Interview: Aleksander Kocaqi, TE/FB,

Aleksander Kocaqi is a unique prospect. Kocaqi played his college football at Divison III, Western Connecticut. He started his career on the defensive side as a linebacker. He made the very successful transition to the tight end and fullback positions and has all the traits to become a very talented pro player.

Kocaqi, in high school, played on the offensive line as well as linebacker. He then went on to be recruited as a linebacker to Western Connecticut, as a member of the WestConn football team he was listed as a linebacker on the roster until his senior season. His senior season, he was listed a fullback. During his time on the offensive side, he made it count. On his highlight film, you can see him pretty much carry defenders on his back, and he’s a lot of fun to watch play. He reminds me a lot of a Mike Alstott player who will run downhill on you and plow through you to get more yards.

A: My first catch, which resulted in a 50-yard run or winning Senior day and qualifying for the New England Bowl.

Q: What’s your favorite college field you played at?

Q: What’s a couple of songs on your pregame playlist?

A: HAM-Kanye West

Q: Interesting fact about you.

A: I played in Class S high-school in CT where not many recruits come from and made the most of my situation at a Division III program, made all-conference my senior season and broke some record, and put myself in a position to continue playing at the next level.
