The end of last week brought about our 1st bowl projections. Here is an updated revision after careful consideration and projecting APR offers. Teams with the highest APR who are a game below .500 will get invites. 6 teams who have a losing record currently would get the available spots should they finish at 5-7 based upon their Academic Progress Rates(APR).

It is looking as if the SEC and Big 12 may not be able to fill the allotment of Bowl spots they are contracted to. With so many below .500 teams in both conferences and the teams eligible in contention for New Year’s six or playoff games, it leaves open spots for Group of 5 teams or other At Large bids.
