The New York Streets will travel down to the Snake Pit of Carolina this weekend, in what could be a game of the year candidate for the National Arena League.
The Streets were on absolute fire last game; Rob Jones had five touchdowns, EJ Nemeth was a menace to the Predators defense. The Cobras do have a much better all around team in general than the Predators though.
The Cobras are led by Charles McCullum, whom just signed a two-year contract extension to with the team, is one of the best quarterbacks in the NAL, which EJ Nemeth is as well. Nemeth vs. McCullum should be a great matchup; it will show who the top quarterback is, also they will be tested between two elite defenses.
For the Cobras, they have Fabian Guerra former Memphis Express wide receiver from the AAF; it will be great to see him in some top of the league action, especially if you were an AAF fan as I was myself. I think Guerra will be a huge sleeper to watch out for.
For the Streets, I have Rob Jones, who just came off that massive week, as my Streets player to which. Jones brings so much energy to the field when he is playing, he breaks his defender’s ankles religiously and is not afraid to run over a guy if he needs too.
All in all, I have this being one for the books. I think the winner of this game could be in the spotlight for being the NAL champion. At the least, this Streets vs Cobras game might be a preview of the championship game. I believe the Streets will edge this one out just barely.
You can catch the Streets vs Cobras game at 7:00 PM.
