Yesterday at 4:23 pm, Rob Gronkowski has been traded from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots gained a 4th-round pick from this trade. This was another shock that the sports no one saw coming. As of yesterday, two of the New England dynasty power players are now in Florida.

Patriot Days

Rob Gronkowski was arguably one of the best Tight Ends in football. He played his entire professional football career on the New England Patriots. Gronkowski was drafted in the second round by the England Patriots in 2010. The Gronkowski and Brady combo was the closes thing to perfection. Together, Brady and Gronkowski led the Patriots to several wins. During Gronk’s career, he played 115 games, had 521 receptions, and had 7,861 receiving yards. He is a Five-Time Pro Bowler, Four-Time All-Pro and a Three-Time Super Bowl Champ. Rob Gronkowski is a superstar.

Possible Return

Rob Gronkowski has recovered from several injuries during his career. Last year, Gronkowski decided to retire from the NFL. He did not play the entire 2019 season. However, Gronkowski had a change in heart. Adam Schefter tweeted that “Tampa Bay was the only place that Rob Gronkowski wanted it was willing to play, per league source”. Gronk’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said “his weight’s back-up to 260. He passed his physical with flying colors today. He’s just really excited about playing football again, and being in Florida is exciting for him”

The Future

Rob Gronkowski is a young man with so much left for the game. At the age of 30, Gronk could leave retirement and reenter the league. Gronk would be reunited with the quarterback he’s worked with his entire career and join a powerhouse offense. With the addition of Gronk, the Buccaneers can take over the NFC South. The Buccaneers will be the lead competition for the New Orleans Saints, which will shake up the division.
