Rockets Beat The Pelican

The Houston Rockets beat the New Orleans Pelicans 122 to 116.

Last night’s game was a sight to see. The Houston Rockets beat the New Orleans Pelicans 122 to 116. The Rockets led the game in the first three quarters. This victory advances the Rockets to a 7-3 record. This lost push the Pelicans to a 2-8 record.

Houston Rockets

All eyes are on the Rockets because of who is on their team. The reuniting of Russel Westbrook and James Harden has fans excited and concern. Both players play with such a force, that it keeps fans at the edge of their seats. The three leading players in last night’s game are the following; James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Clint Capela. James Harden led the Rockets in points and assists. Harden played for 38 minutes. Within those 38 minutes, he scored 39 points, nine assists, and four rebounds. Russell Westbrook played for 35 minutes. Within those 35 minutes, Westbrook scored 26 minutes, had five rebounds and four assists. Clint Capela led the Rockets in rebounds. Capela played for 36 minutes and within those 36 minutes, he had 20 rebounds, 11 points and had one assist.

New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans are having a rough start this season. They got the number one pick, Zion Williamson, however, he is out with a torn lateral meniscus. The injury took Williamson out for six to eight weeks. Zion is expected to return around the first half of December. The Pelicans suffered another loss last night. The leading players for the Pelicans are the following; JJ Redick, Derrick Favors, and Jrue Holiday. JJ Redick led his team in points. Redick played for 37 minutes. Within those 37 minutes, he scored 24 points, had zero points and had three assists. Derrick Favors led the Pelicans in rebounds. Favors played for 29 minutes. Within those 29 minutes, he had 12 rebounds, three assists and scored 13 points. Jrue Holiday led the Pelicans in assists. Holiday played for 38 minutes. Within those 38 minutes, he had 11 assists, had nine rebounds and scored 18 points.

The Rockets will be back in action tomorrow, November 13th at 7:30 pm. They will be playing the Los Angeles Clippers in Houston. The Pelicans will be back in action Thursday, November 14th at 8:00 pm in New Orleans
