Last night was the first game of the 2019 NBA Finals, and it was a game to see. The Toronto Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors 118-109. This is the first year the Toronto Raptors have ever been in the finals. The fans and the city of Toronto could not be any more proud. Millions of fans watched last night game, to see superstar Kawhi Leonard host the Golden State Warriors. Hours before the game, the Golden State Warriors stated, that DeMarcus Cousins was ruled active for the first game of the Finals.
The Toronto Raptors outscored the Golden State 75% of game one. This was shocking since the Warriors superstars excel in scoring. The Warriors are known for their 4th quarter domination. On the Warriors, Steph Curry led with 34 points. Draymond Green led with 10 rebounds and 10 led with 10 assists. Both Curry and Green played for 40 minutes. Klay Thompson played for 39 minutes and scored 21 points. On the Raptors, Pascal Siakam led with 32 points. Siakam led in rebounds with 8. Kyle Lowry led with nine assists. Kawhi Leonard played for 43 minutes and scored 23 points. Game one of the NBA Finals was shocking. However, the Warriors are nowhere near out of this game. The next Finals game is Sunday, June 2nd at 8 pm. The Toronto Raptors have a 1-0 lead.
