Biggest Sleepers In 2019 NFL Draft Class

2019 NFL Draft

This year’s draft does have a lot of talent, with the likes of Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock, and Will Grier. Those guys are on everyone’s board. After those players are gone, the sleepers are left, and I believe they have a lot more potential than most years.

Ian Fieber

Starting off my sleepers list is Ian Fieber. Fieber is an NCAA Divison III quarterback. He played his college football at Chapman his senior year, after transferring from San Jose State and Sioux Falls. Chapman threw 28 touchdowns in 9 games this season and averaged 282.8 yards a game. He reminds me a lot of Baker Mayfield. At 6’2″ and 205 lbs, Fieber and Mayfield size up almost equally, with Mayfield at 6’1″ and 209 lbs. Fieber has an uncanny ability to be a great team leader!

JJ Jerman

This kicker out of East Tennessee State is another player to keep an eye out for. Jerman has got a great leg, and a lot of teams could definitely use a kicker. He had a game this season with two 51 yard field goals!. He has a great kick off league too and can pin teams deep for kickoffs. Teams like the Bills, Cardinals or Browns may give him a look, but I think any team could.

Cua Rose

A free safety out of Arkansas Tech is another name to watch out for. Coming out of the Divison II school he lit it up!. In 2017 he had 85 tackles, five interceptions, and two forced fumbles. Rose also runs a projected 4.43-second 40-yard dash!. He could indubitably become an absolute nightmare to NFL offenses!

Chandler Burks

A quarterback out of Kennesaw State was the first player ever to sign and commit to the team!. Burks is a dual-threat quarterback. He reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson, Burks coming in at 5’10” also. Burks had a combined 39 touchdowns this season, ten passing and 29 rushing. Twenty-nine rushing touchdowns are the record for most ever by an FCS quarterback in a season. Be sure to watch out for Chandler Burks; he could even take on a roll like Taysom Hill with both speed and an arm. He could be a great asset to any team.

Chad Rex

Up next, Chad Rex wide receiver of Ohio Northern a Divison III football program. Ohio Northern Polar Bears are one of the best names in college ball! Rex in 2018 averaged 92.6 yards a game and had 14 touchdowns. Rex can get open and make running all over the secondary look easy. He is one of the most underrated players in this years draft class.

  1. A big sleeper is Connor Niles from Morningside (IA) WR/KR/PR. He had over 150 catches and 2,600 with 34 TDs in just his senior year.
