The Seattle Dragons will face the DC Defenders at 2 PM eastern time today. This is the inaugural game for both teams. There’s going to be a lot of things to watch for on the first game, and even getting to know your Dragons players.
The Dragons will have the young stud, Brandon Silvers under center for opening day. This was a good decision, when he had his shot in the AAF with Memphis he really excelled as well in college at Troy.
Silvers vs. Jones
Silvers throws a very accurate and quick ball. He can hit his man in any coverage and make it look easy; when it comes to pressure he also treats that like he been there a thousand times. This is an example of a young quarterback who could easily be a front runner for best in the league, and this will be an awesome opportunity for him. His foe in this bout will be Ohio State alum Cardale Jones, he was always a very powerful big guy and could play tight end with billed at 6”5 and 250 lbs.
Help from A Super Bowl Champ
Believe that Silvers knows it’s his time to shine and he won’t let a former superstar take the light of him and his Dragons. Silvers back up quarterback is BJ Daniels, former Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl winner. It’s almost positive that Daniels has a few things up his sleeve to show Silvers.
New Week, New Kicker
The Dragons this week have signed their third kicker, Ernesto Lacayo. He has more experience than both Tracy and Powell combined. Lacayo has played nine years in the arena and indoor football leagues, last year for The San Diego Strike Force of the Indoor Football League (IFL). In the IFL, Lacayo clearly showcased he had a great league that will succeed in the game of XFL.
It’s Time to Breathe Fire
It’s officially time to see the Dragons in action and they are ready to breathe fire! You should see some high octane offense from these Dragons in DC. Look for a close game and a lot of action, score prediction 27-23 Dragons come out on top in a close fight.
