Hayden Gibson is a quarterback from Bismarck, ND, and he played his college football at Dickinson State Blue Hawks, an NAIA football program. He is very underrated and can show a pro team that he has a lot to prove!
Gibson started his career in 2016-17, where he got very minimal playing time.
In the 2016-17 season, he took part in 9 games. He threw 23 touchdowns to only seven interceptions, and threw for 2249 yards!
This past season, he threw nine touchdowns and threw for a total of 973 yards. That was only in four games, so just imagine what he could do in a full season!
Catching Up with Hayden
I had the opportunity to ask Hayden a few questions about his college career and some other things too! Here’s what he had to say!
Q: What was your favorite memory of college ball?
A: My favorite memory while playing college ball was either getting our program’s first road playoff win or winning our fifth straight conference title. Our kicker kicked a last-second field goal from about 40 yards to win the conference. Those are memories I will cherish forever, and I will never forget.
Q: Who’s your biggest inspiration?
A: My parents are a huge inspiration to me. I have been blessed with having them in my life. Football-wise I would have to say, Tom Brady. The way he plays the game, and the way he prepares is incredible. People think slow quarterbacks that sit in the pocket are boring to watch, but I love to watch Brady dissect defenses.
Q: What’s your pregame routine like?
A: Its nothing too crazy. I have to drink a coffee in the morning, go through the call sheet, listen to a certain handful of songs, and just make sure I’m hydrated and ready physically to play a ball game.
Q: Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?
A: I’ve always liked the chargers. I liked LaDainian Tomlinson and Darren Sproles when they were playing in San Diego. I always enjoyed watching guys like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees.
Q: Favorite college stadium you played at?
A: Besides the BAC, I thought Southern Oregon had a really nice stadium in a beautiful area.
