The College Football season is upon us. Saturday’s will be filled with much excitement around the country. Kyler Murray won the Heisman Trophy last season. The Heisman Trophy race this year should be a close and fun race to keep track of this season. Here are four of the top guys that could win it:

Tua Tagovailoa QB  Alabama

Tua threw for 3.966 yards last season and avered 11.2 yards per pass attempt. He also threw 43 touchdown passes, with only six interceptions. With a star-studded receiving core coming back, Tagovailoa is poised for a big season. Sometimes Tua’s numbers take a hit because of Alabama blows out the opposing teams by halftime and he does not play the second half.

Trevor Lawrence QB Clemson

Trevor Lawrence did not become a start into week five of last season. When he took over, he threw for 3,280 yards passing, with 30 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Lawrence helped led Clemson to the National Championship over Alabama. Lawrence will be a massive factor in the Heisman race; i expect him to have a massive season as the full-time starter.

Jonathan Taylor  RB  Wisconsin

Jonathan Taylor ran for 2.194 yards last season at Wisconsin. He averaged 7.1 yards per rush. Also, Taylor added 16 rushing touchdowns. In two season at Wisconsin, Taylor has rushed for 4.326 rushings yards and 29 touchdowns. Taylor is a beast and will have another big season. We will see if it will be enough to win him the Heisman.

Justin Herbert QB Oregon

Justin Herbert returned for his senior season. Before last season he was projected as the top quarterback to be taken in the NFL Draft. But Herbert had a good season but not a season that would produce a number one overall pick. Herbert threw 3,151 yards, 29 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. I expect Herbert to rebound and put the numbers we expect him to this season.
