New Orleans Schedule Review

New Orleans has one of the toughest schedules in the league and lost in the NFC Championship at the hands of a no-call then an overtime interception against the Los Angeles Rams. There was a lot of drama after this game, but they are back and even stronger than before. With the addition of Jared cook on their offense, their offense is ranked as the best or one of the top 3 in the league. Their schedule falls as one of the more difficult, but their September games are ranked the most difficult in the league.

WEEK 1- HOUSTON TEXANS

Outcome- 38-28 Saints

The Houston Texans made it to the playoffs last year but lost in the first round, and I don’t see them beating the Saints, but I do see them making the playoffs again this season.

WEEK 2- LOS ANGELES RAMS

Outcome- 23-17 Saints

The Los Angeles Rams won the NFC Championship game on a controversial no-call and were underwhelming in Super Bowl LIII. The Saints will come back strong and win this game on a game-winning drive.

WEEK 3- SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Outcome- 38-35 Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are coming strong into this season after a devastating loss in the playoffs to the hand of the Dallas Cowboys. They will win this game on a field goal and will upset the powerful Saints.

WEEK 4- DALLAS COWBOYS

Outcome- 14-9 Saints

The Cowboys lost in the playoffs to the Los Angeles Rams, and they are hungry. The Saints lost to the Cowboys in the 2018 season and want to win this one. Both mighty defenses will battle it out, and it will be a low scoring affair.

WEEK 5- TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Outcome- 31-10 Saints

There is a chance the Buccaneers beat the Saints this season as they did last season, but it is less likely. Tampa Bay isn’t the best team in the league per se. I see New Orleans pulling up big on the Buccaneers.

WEEK 6- JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Outcome- 20-14 Saints

The Jaguars have made a good offseason and still maintain their mighty defense. Nick Foles is much better than Blake Bortles, or was that only a playoff phase for the Eagles?

WEEK 7- CHICAGO BEARS

Outcome- 10-7 Saints

Jacksonville’s defense has nothing on Chicago’s defense. Chicago is one of the best defensive teams in the league. I see it being very close and a very low scoring game. Maybe Drew Brees throws an interception or two.

WEEK 8- ARIZONA CARDINALS

Outcome- 42-17 Saints

Arizona has made a multitude of incredible offseason moves but does not compare to the powerful Saints team. The Saints will move past the Cardinals and go into their bye week with a win.

WEEK 9- BYE WEEK

The Saints will get enough rest after the Cardinals matchup and a bye week to go into week 10’s matchup vs. the Falcons with a healthy team.

WEEK 10- ATLANTA FALCONS

Outcome- 21-3 Saints

New Orleans is on a three-game winning streak vs. the Falcons, and another win for the Saints will make it 4. The Saints are complete, and the Falcons still need work to make themselves worthy of another super bowl run.

WEEK 11- TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Outcome- 28-24 Saints

This game will be closer than the last as the Saints are on a roll and have gone 5-0 since the 1st game vs. the Bucs and will maintain the role and go onto 7-0 streak since their last loss.

WEEK 12- CAROLINA PANTHERS

Outcome- 14-3 Saints

New Orleans will come and dominate as they beat the Panthers and maintain a productive start and become 10-1 and almost guaranteeing themselves a playoff spot.

WEEK 13- ATLANTA FALCONS

Outcome- 45-35 Saints

The Saints will sweep the Falcons again this season creating a five-game winning streak versus Atlanta. The Saints will guarantee themselves at least a wildcard spot as they clinch their division at this point (Other records at this time, Carolina: 6-7, Atlanta: 6-7, Tampa Bay: 4-9)

WEEK 14- SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Outcome- 38-7 Saints

Joey Bosa was the best player in the 2019 NFL Draft and will be a huge part of the 49ers success but will not be enough to stop the raging Saints in week 14.

WEEK 15- INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Outcome- 28-24 Colts

The Colts are a powerful team and will stop the Saints in their tracks at this point. The Colts will be one of the only three teams to beat the Saints this season.

WEEK 16- TENNESSEE TITANS

Outcome- 31-6 Saints

Mariota is very injury prone, and the Titans don’t have a beautiful team. They could use a lot of rebuilding. They won’t be enough, and the Saints will regain their win back and become 13-2 with the chance to have the best record in franchise history with another win.

WEEK 17- CAROLINA PANTHERS

Outcome- 20-17 Panthers

New Orleans starts backups and can’t get past the Carolina Panthers as they lose a close one but earn number 1 seed in the NFC for the second season in a row. Onto the playoffs for New Orleans.
