Bucs Waive Shaun Wilson

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived second-year running back, Shaun Wilson. He was signed as an undrafted free agent after having a productive collegiate career at Duke.
At Duke, Sean racked up over 2500 yards and 18 touchdowns across all four years of eligibility. He was a dual threat as well, with 81 receptions for 725 yards and six touchdowns.
Unfortunately, his short time with Tampa did not work out. He only had six carries for 29 yards although he was the starting kick returner for the Bucs last year and did relatively well.
With Shaun’s release, a spot at kick returner has opened up, and so far it’s a toss-up as to who will claim it. The most likely replacement is either Scotty Miller with his blazing 4.30 40 yard dash time, or another running back we bring in like how Tampa brought him in last year.
For now, Shaun Wilson will have to look for a roster spot elsewhere. His ability to return kicks should land him on a roster before training camp.
