Walker is a three-time all-star, who had his best season last year, he averaged 25.6 points, 5.9 assist, and 4.4 rebounds per game. Walker shot 43 percent from the field and 35 percent for three point land. The former Uconn star elected to leave the Hornets after the organization low balled him on a contract offer.
The Celtics are retooling their roster after Kyrie Irving and Al Horford are leaving. Bring in Walker is a good move by the Celtics, i like how Walker fits with the team more than Kyrie did. I see Walker as a better leader on and off the court. Kemba will also do a better job getting his teammates involved in the offense.
Players like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Gordon Haywood will benefit from playing with Walker. Kemba Walker has the Ability to play off the ball so that it will give Tatum and Brown more touches. Hopefully, that will make them play close to the form they had two years ago.
With this move, it should help the Celtics get back in contention in the Eastern Conference.
