The New Orleans Pelicans have hired former WNBA Swin Cash as vice president of basketball operations. This one of the latest moves that newly appointed President of basketball operations David Griffin has made. Griffin has hired former Brooklyn Nets assistant general manager Trajon Langdon as general manager. Also, he hired Aaron Nelson as vice president of player care and performance.

Cash will scout, help with player development on and off the floor, and have some other roles throughout the organization. The former WNBA star was the director of franchise development for the New York Liberty and has worked for NBA TV.
Cash played 15 seasons in the WNBA for the Detroit Shock, Seattle Storm, Chicago Sky, Atlanta Dream, and the Chicago Sky. In her time in the WNBA, Cash made four ALl-Star teams and won three WNBA titles. Also, Cash won two National titles while at UConn in 2000 and 2002.
I think Swin Cash is an excellent hired for the Pelicans. She been around the game of basketball a long time and knows her stuff.
