The cardiac cats of Orlando strike again as Orlando City SC leave it to the 88th minute before they were able to score a goal against a solid defense in the Vancouver Whitecaps. The game started with Orlando City in a 4-3-3 setup featuring Chris Mueller, Dom Dwyer, and Nani up front. With the attacking prowess of Orlando being visible this early in the season Vancouver looked to try and neutralize this with a five-man defense in the back.

The game stayed relatively quiet as Orlando attempted to break through the solid defense offered by Vancouver. With Vancouver choosing to play so defensively they sacrificed their attack, and it showed as they only had possession for 39% of the game and only managed six shots and only two of those shots were on goal, whereas Orlando City managed 17 shots with four being on goal and they controlled the game with 61% possession rate, 539 passes.

Orlando City managed to break the deadlock thanks to a goal from Nani who is showing that he was worth the fee that Orlando city doled out for him from Sporting. Orlando City moves on from this game and looks forward to an away game against NYC FC at Yankee Stadium at 1 pm on 4/27. The game will be an interesting one as Orlando City look to take points against NYC FC and continue to move up in the standings. With the team firing on all cylinders in attack and coming together in the back can this be the season that Orlando City moves into the playoffs?
