Chicago Fire played host to the Orlando City Lions Saturday, and the fans of Chicago can be happy with the tie they were able to limp away from their home stadium with. The Lions were held to a first-half draw that saw Nani make his full MLS debut. Nani delivered a great pass to Dom Dwyer who managed to get his toe on the ball and score the first goal of the match for the Lions. Following this goal the game was Orlando’s to lose. The Lions held back the fire for the entire second half, with Chicago losing a man to a red card in the 65th minute. The road victory seemed to be a possibility for the Orlando City club until the extra time goal from CJ Sapong in the 95th minute of the game. With this result, we see Chicago and Orlando both take a point and sees Chicago move to 8th in the standings and Orlando to 5th in the Eastern Conference of MLS. The next match for Orlando sees them return home as they host the Montreal Impact at 4 P.M on March 16th.
