Express Look to Bounce Back : Arizona Hotshots vs. Memphis Express

The Express take on the Arizona Hotshots this Saturday. Last weekend was a nightmare for the Express offense who got shut out by the Iron. Hackenberg looked very out of tune allowing the defense to run amuck all over him. Silvers did eventually come in but was hushed by the sound of the Iron defense.

This weekend the Hotshots are the team they have on the agenda. John Wolford and the Hotshots had a field day against Salt Lake, Wolford threw four touchdowns. Wolford did appear as the ace, even though many people slated Trevor Knight as the opening day man. I right about Wolford having a stellar upside in my Hotshots quarterback review. He can indubitably lead a team to wins and more.

Zac Stacy the fans ace needs to come to play this weekend if they want home to win. Stacy looked out of tune as well only having 58 yards on 12 carries. If Stacy can evade the high powered Hotshot defense, he could keep them in this game. If I were in coach Singletary’s shoes, I would make this a run-heavy game.

The Express seems hellbent on having Hackenberg be the face of the franchise. Last week I think should be it, and Mettenberger should be slated at starter. Mettenberger had a stellar camp. Hackenberg was better in the preseason matchup that, was it.

The linebackers for Memphis is what kept the score for the Iron down. The linebackers need to show up and make some big plays again. The secondary needs to play tight coverage especially against Wolford who likes firing big passes.

I have this being a one-sided game in prediction this weekend. I have the Hotshots firing off all cylinders on the Express. Hotshots 35 – Express 10.
