While the score might not look the best for the Stallions with the final being 22 – 38 in Hotshots favor, they definitely showed that they could play. Having a 3rd string QB playing in the second half wasn’t the best situation to be in, but the Stallions showed flashes of great play

The First Quarter it was only Arizona getting on the board. It started with Rashad Ross catching 42-yard pass. Jhurell Pressley the next play ran for nearly 20 yards that set them inside the red zone. It then wasn’t too hard to throw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Gerald Cristian the tight end. Pressley than ran up the middle for the 2 point conversion.

In the second quarter, Matt Asiata scored a 1-yard touchdown for the Stallions. Josh Woodrum then scrambled to the left and dived in the end zone for the 2 point conversion.

The next drive, the Hotshots ended up punting quickly but De’Mornay El-Pierson, punt returner for the Stallions, muffed the punt which Arizona revered. That ended up with Rashad Ross catching a 36-yard touchdown. Pressley scored the 2 point conversion again. A few drives later Nick Folk for the Hotshots kicked a 53-yard field goal to make it 8 – 19 Arizona. Stallions then replied with a 30-yard pass to Anthony Denham. A few plays later Josh Woodrum scrambled, and we later found out when he got hit he hurt his hamstring which ended up taking him out the second half. Woodrum still threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Leslie. Brandon Oliver then received a pitch to the right that gave them the 2 point conversion with 13 seconds left in the half. The final score for the first half was 16 – 19 Hotshots.

With the start of the third quarter, Josh Woodrum is taken out because of his hamstring and Matt Linehan is put in charge. Hotshots received the ball first and went downfield and let Nick Folk kick a field goal. Unfortunately for Hotshots, he did what Bears kicker Cody Parker did against the Eagles and hit the right upright. The next drive for the Hotshots they drove down the field, and Rashad Ross caught another touchdown this time being a 4-yard catch. Thomas Duarte caught the 2 point conversion to make it 16-27. Stallions first play the next drive gets picked off by Edmond Robinson and is tackled at Stallions 30-yard line. The first play for the Hotshots, Pressley caught a 30-yard touchdown pass. Arizona threw a screen pass for the 2 point conversion.
