Following the passing of the legendary “Mean Gene” Okerlund, WWE has announced that “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan will appear on Monday Night RAW in Orlando, Florida to honor Gene’s legacy.
As I mentioned in my last article, Hulk Hogan and “Mean Gene” were very close friends. At one point in time, they were even tag team partners. They trained together, ate together, wrestled together, traveled together, cut countless promos together, and more. They made quite a pair. Being that they share so much rich history together, it just feels right that Hulk Hogan is appearing on RAW to honor Gene’s great legacy.
Aside from Hulk Hogan appearing on RAW to honor Gene’s legacy, this specific appearance is a big deal. Outside of the WWE Crown Jewel PPV event in Saudi Arabia, this will be the first time that we have seen the Hulkster on LIVE WWE Programming since his “suspension” back in 2015. Can you imagine what the crowd reaction is going to be once his music hits and he walks out onto that stage? It’s going to get a HUGE pop! There is no doubt that the WWE Universe is going to blow the roof off of the Amway Center on Monday night.
How do you feel about seeing Hulk Hogan return to the WWE?
