Combate Americas returns to DAZN with its second card on the streaming service tomorrow night. Two qualifier bouts will determine who will represent their country for the “Copa Combate” Featherweight Tournament.
In the main event, Erick Gonzalez (8-2) will drop down from Lightweight to face Andres Quintana (14-2). The winner will represent the United States in the tournament.
The co-main event qualifier bout will be Pablo Sabori (8-4) against Alejandro Flores (12-1). this will determine who represents Mexico in the tournament.
Both qualifier bouts will be one, five-minute fights. Combate Americas CEO Campbell Mclaren is always looking for creative and exciting ways to mix up the sport. Almost two weeks ago the promotion made news when it crowned it’s first Bantamweight Champion in a three-round title fight.
The “Copa Combate” is a one-night tournament starring eight Featherweights representing their own country. The winner will receive 100,000 dollars and bragging rights.
